Lee Jackson DG-1
The Lee Jackson DG-1 Distortion /Overdrive pedal is the closest thing to Amp Distortion in a pedal. The DG-1 allows the full frequency of your instrument to pass through, this is why it sounds more like amp distortion. It is the Warmest, Smoothest Distortion pedal you have ever heard. Lee Jackson has also included a Sag control on the DG-1. This control sets the Bias of the Tube Emulation circuit, just like a power amp in your tube amp. Set the bias of your Tube with the Bias control. Go from Ripping Paper to Awesome Smooth Tube distortion.
The DG-1 also incorporates Lee's Active Gain Booster (available in a standalone pedal, the Bitch Boost, which is designed with the idea of being as transparent as possible, to not change the original sound as it comes out of the instrument. It is after the distortion circuit, which allows you to boost your great tone. The Active Gain and the Distortion can be used together or by themselves independently.
